This position is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Sterile Processing Department. Directs and supervises the workload by establishing task priority and assignment of work to the staff. Must be capable of performing all duties of Sterile Processing Technician. Recommends and supports goals and objectives that are consistent with the Mission of the organization. Delivers exceptional quality and service to all patients and other customers. Through a constant pursuit of excellence and respect for every individual, fosters an environment of participation, teamwork and professional growth. Assumes responsibility of all Sterile Processing activities and sites in the absence of the manager. QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent required. 2years in Sterile Processing experience required. Previous lead or supervisory exp. preferred. CRCST required and in good standing. Certified as a Manager/Supervisor (CHL) in Sterile Processing by a state approved certification body required within one year of employment. Requires a thorough understanding of and ability to apply the principals of decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation required.
