Job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Utility Worker/ Dishwasher to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, as well as ensuring the efficient operation of dishwashing equipment. Your primary goal will be to support our kitchen staff and maintain a clean and sanitary environment.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Prior experience as a dishwasher or utility worker is a plus.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures is preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions effectively.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as needed.
- Availability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment, including pre-washing, washing, and sanitizing dishes, utensils, pots, and pans.
- Adhere to proper sanitation and food safety regulations to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
- Handle and store all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment properly, ensuring safe and efficient use.
- Assist in the cleaning and organization of kitchen areas, including sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning countertops, and removing trash.
- Stock and replenish cleaning supplies, ensuring an adequate inventory at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth flow of dishes and utensils for efficient service.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to workplace safety guidelines and report any maintenance or equipment issues immediately.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the kitchen manager or supervisor.
