Our full range of medical services include a new pavilion featuring enhancements in heart and vascular care surgery maternity cancer care and diagnostic imaging.

Responsibilities

Essential Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Assumes responsibility for the Environment of Care (EOC), Life (Fire) Safety (LS)and Emergency Management (EM) programs at assigned facilities
  2. Maintains inspection records and findings for EOC, LS and EM programs; provides suggestions for improvement to all programs
  3. Leads assigned facilities Safety (EOC) and EM Committees; schedules and leads meetings; maintains appropriate documentation
  4. Leads in-house training with leadership and employees about environmental health and safety issues
  5. Carries out environmental safety accident investigations on site and produces subsequent reports and recommendations to appropriate leadership
  6. Plans practical and effective methods of promoting health and environmental safety and safe working practices
  7. Functions as a liaison with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with regulations
  8. Assumes responsibility for personal and professional growth through participation in department meetings, in-service programs and continuing educations programs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Safety, Emergency Management, or related field –OR- three years of equivalent experience in the field

Required Licensure and Certifications

None Required

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong knowledge of safety strategies; excellent time management and communication skills; ability to present complex issues in understandable manner; fluent in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint

PREFERRED Qualifications

CHSP; CHEP
