JOB DESCRIPTION Lead Facility Technician
Scope of Supervision
None
GENERAL PURPOSE
The purpose of the Facility Tech nician is to support the f acility d epartment by performing a wide
rang e of genera l duties to include repairs and maintenance. This role will support the operations team
by maintaining ancillary equipment necessary for production and ensure a safe work environment
meeting all GMP guidelines.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Facility repair and improvement
• General maintenance and repair
• Light Plumbing
• Light Electrical
• Carpentry
• Painting
• Perform PM /Work Orders on time for Facility equipment, including but not limited to HVAC, Air
Compressors, Dust Collectors, Wastewater, Boile r System, and Chiller System.
• Willing to work overtime, holiday s and weekends as requested by Management .
• All other duties as assigned by Manager and/or Management
MI NIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience Pri or experience i n manufacturing or construction or maintenance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
– Read and interpret wr itten instructions and diagrams
– Must be detail oriented and the ability to keep a clean and orga nized working area at all times
– Mu st have physical ability to work on feet for a full shift, regularly lift and carry heavy containers , and
perform all duties of job in a safe manner
– Must be able to operate light machinery and construction tools such as drills, saws, grinders etc.
– Must be able to climb and work off of ladders and operate a scissor lift in a safe manner.
– Must be able to use a computer or tablet to complete documentation for PM’s and Work Orders.
– Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack in congested areas.
Ce rtification or License :
• F orklift certification needed within 3 months after hire date.
• Must have a valid FL driver’s license to operate company vehicles.
Protection:
– Hairnets, Beard covers, eyewear and gloves are required in this area.
– Protective cloth ing is required in this area. (long sleeve, pants)
– Any other protective devices will be provided by Ion Labs.
