Overview
The Foundation Development Coordinator is responsible to raise funds to meet the organization's financial goals through a variety of fundraising channels.
Responsibilities - Secures adequate donations to meet annual philanthropy goals with cost-to-raise-a-dollar in line with industry standards.
- Works with Community Executive Director on determining community needs and fundraising priorities.
- Identifies, cultivates, solicits and stewards major gift donors. Maintains a portfolio of prospective major gift donors. Tracks communication and progress in the foundation database.
- Coordinates all gift activity ensuring timely donation deposits and donor stewardship.
- Coordinates fund distributions and philanthropy expenditures.
- Works independently with organizational skills to prioritize tasks and to exercise judgment consistent with core values.
Qualifications Qualifications Required
- High School diploma
- One (1) year of experience in fundraising/development, marketing, communications, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and internet applications
Qualifications Preferred
- Actively involved in degree or continuing educations
- Donor/gift/constituent database experience
- Experience in working with volunteers
- Experience in fundraising
