Jr. Buyer - Dietary Supplement Manufacturer

Jr. Buyer for immediate hire. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing manufacturing company that distributes globally. The successful candidate must have experience in a GMP-compliant manufacturing environment preferably in the nutraceutical/vitamin supplement industry.
Summary: In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the procurement process which involves processing purchase requisitions, creating purchase orders, monitoring supplier deliveries, updating databases, and providing assistance to other departments. Effective communication and the ability to manage tasks based on company priorities are essential for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process requisitions and Purchase Orders for required materials.
- Create and release purchase orders to vendors.
- Monitor suppliers for on time delivery and follow up on late delivery.
- Maintain the ERP system with updated delivery dates.
- Close out completed purchase orders form on ERP system.
- Maintain and update vendor database and contact information.
- Provide support to other departments when requested.
- Communicate effectively with all departments regarding any pertinent information.
- Able to create and administer a task priority list based on company needs.
- Any additional tasks assigned.
Qualification and Skills:
- Minimum 1-2 Years purchasing experience.
- Experience with computerized purchasing systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel.
- Working Knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to summarize data.
Job Type: Full-Time - Hourly
Work Schedule: Mon - Fri
Pay Rate: $23.00 - $26.00
