Job description
Museum Fabrication Group is looking for a Skilled Fabricator to join our team. As a Fabricator for MFG, you will be responsible for fabricating everything from custom exhibits, cabinets, furniture, displays, and more. Responsibilities and Duties
- All functions associated with fabrication at an exhibit shop
- Able to work in a team environment but can accomplish tasks independently
- Follows standards for employee conduct
- Maintains shop cleanliness and organization
- Maintains a safe working environment and abides by all safety rules
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years’ experience in Custom Cabinets, Exhibits or Custom Millwork
- 2+ years’ Experience using cabinet shop equipment
- Ability to read plans and cut tickets
- Willing to periodically travel for several days at a time
- Safety Guidelines to be followed at all times
- Willing to follow instructions and take direction
- Provide an incredible level of detail to every project
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to meet deadlines
- Keep work area clean
- Good organizational and communication skills are required
- Able to work well and communicate with others
- Proficient with hand/power tools/shop equipment
- Dependability and strong work ethics
- Must be able to speak, write and understand English
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license required
- Reliable transportation
Normal work hours are Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
Some travel will be required
Compensation :
Beginning at $20 per hour based on experience
