Job description

The Senior Project Manager is a dynamic and results-driven professional responsible for planning, directing, leading, and coordinating activities with exceptional communication skills. This role involves managing projects to ensure the achievement of goals and objectives within allotted schedule and budget parameters. The Senior Project Manager will oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, monitoring/controlling, and communication while demonstrating strategic thinking and effective leadership.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Conducts a thorough review of project initiation documentation to determine schedule, budget, resourcing, and complete data analysis to various project phases.

• Acquires estimates, requirements documentation, statements of work (SOW), and any request for proposal (RFP) documents necessary to initiate the Project Planning phase. • Ensures accurate phasing and setup of project budgets in both time-tracking systems (Unanet) and document management systems.

• Collaborates effectively with department managers and team leads to develop comprehensive project plans, assigning duties, responsibilities, and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate, plan, and track all defined deliverables for project to ensure successful delivery, leveraging strong planning and prioritization skills.
• Initiates project kickoff meetings to comprehensively review tasks, deliverables, schedules, communication methods, and other project details with clients prior to the execution of work.
• Provides regular project status updates, budget information, and schedules to clients at mutually agreed-upon intervals.
• Develops and implements a communication plan to ensure project resources execute tasks within the prescribed schedule and budget.
• Leads scheduled meetings with project personnel to gather status reports, assess and mitigate risks, and collect project data for analysis and reporting of project performance.
• Regularly communicates schedule derivations, budget overages, project change orders, and other project risks with the Project Controls team, Department Manager, and other project stakeholders.
• Utilizes value management techniques to manage schedules, budgets, and identify risks timely.
• Ensures timely transmission of transmittals and completion letters to clients and communicate hurdles to department manager timely.
• Collaborates with the Accounting Department to ensure the completeness of all accounts receivable items.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office & SharePoint and Unanet, or related software.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year university; or ten years of work-related experience which should include all continuous education and experience that is related to project management.

• Project Management Institute- PMP Certification and/or Professional Engineering License is a plus.
