Job description

IU Health Physicians,  in collaboration with Indiana University School of Medicine, is recruiting a compassionate and patient-focused  Palliative Care Physician to collaborate with our highly skilled, well-established teams at IU Health West Hospital in the desirable suburb of Avon, Indiana. Key clinical responsibilities include seeing patients, leading family meetings, writing orders and notes. This collegial Physician will care for our most vulnerable population, working alongside a truly interdisciplinary team of Advanced Practice Providers practicing at the top of their scope.

Position Details:

• Schedule: Monday through Friday (dayshift) 8am to 4pm
• Inpatient (80%) - average census is 30 visits per week
• Outpatient (20%) - average census is 12 visits per week 
• On-Call: 1 in 7 weeks – call is via phone only

Qualifications:

• Candidate must be American Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Palliative Care fellowship training required
