What You’ll Do

PSC North America is actively hiring a seasoned Senior HVDC Project Lead/Senior Consultant with 8+ years of experience in HVDC transmission systems. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in business development, collaborating with major clients and vendors to provide technical expertise in the development, design, and management of HVDC projects primarily in North America.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for HVDC project development, including technology review, drafting technical specifications, and supporting regulatory filings.
• Actively participate in business development to enhance PSC's HVDC visibility and attract new clients.
• Support HVDC OEM design review, factory testing, on-site inspections, and project commissioning.
• Take technical responsibility for assigned client projects, overseeing technical direction, reviews, employee workflow, and mentoring.
• Manage projects, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards, while liaising with clients for satisfaction.
• Assist in tender submissions, and proposals, and explore new project opportunities.
• Conduct system analysis, and manual calculations, and prepare detailed technical study reports.
• Collaborate globally with PSC colleagues on studies and projects.
• Manage client expectations through regular communication and responsiveness.

Requirements:

• Minimum 8 years of engineering experience, preferably with expertise in SVC, STATCOM, HVDC-LCC, and/or HVDC-VSC transmission technology.
• Proven ability to develop new HVDC clients and experience in business development.
• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field.
• Strong team collaboration and leadership skills.

PSC is committed to the principle of pay equity – paying employees equitably for substantially similar work. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience within the job, the type of years and experience within the industry, education, training, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At PSC it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $115,874 to $203,617 in US dollars compensation may differ outside of the US.
