Responsibilities$ Sign on bonus for experienced Clinic RNs - this is pro-rated for part time. Virginia Mason Medical Center, was recognized among the Best Hospitals in Washington state by U.S. News & World Report. We have a brand new full time opening for a Clinic RN at our Federal Way Orthopedic Clinic .
This position will support Ortho, Hand, Podiatry and Sports Medicine specialties. Our Federal Way Orthopedics clinic is open Monday-Friday & the clinic is closed on weekends and major holidays. Our specialty teams at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health are highly trained to help our patients recover from joints that become stiff and painful from inflammation, injury, or disease or from the natural effects of aging that may limit activity level. Our surgeons have decades of experience performing successful orthopedic surgeries. So, whether our patient is a college athlete with a desire to regain mobility, or a weekend warrior, or even someone who enjoys a daily walk around Greenlake or a hike in the beautiful Olympic Peninsula, we keep our patients moving and enjoying the great outdoors.
Our Nurses, Providers, Occupational Therapists and Physical Therapists partner with our patients to provide teaching related to the disease processes, including injury prevention, surgical and non-surgical activity related injuries. The responsibilities of the Registered Nurse includes: - Coordinating and facilitating quality management of a broad based outpatient population across the continuum of care. - Providing skilled triage and assessment, education, collaboration and coordination of healthcare and community resources, - Supporting the care team in the provision of patient care. - Providing patient advice - Assisting in prioritizing daily work of the clinic - Providing direction to team members, including oversight of Medical Assistant's clinical competency. QualificationsRequired:
Strong patient assessment skills, ability to work collaboratively in team setting, current working knowledge of electronic medical records. Background or experience working in Sports Medicine or Athletic training desired.
ACLS is preferred
