Test Technician
24 hours a week - can be a little flexible with days
$22.00 - $24.00 hr
Summary
Will perform in-house testing, troubleshooting, calibration and configuration of manufactured assemblies, as well as R.M.A.'s, in accordance with S.C.P.'s guidelines and requirements.
Activities will Include: - Repair of returned products Production testing and support Production soldering and assembly
- Building test and other fixtures for production/engineering, as required. understanding of schematics
- Set up and configuration of new systems, software and hardware.
- Prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems.
- May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair, to the component level, for through hole and SMT assemblies Actively use problem solving, diagnostic and analytical skills to determine root cause and correction
- Provide feedback and support the test generation procedures
- Comply with and support safety requirements
- Maintain working areas in a neat and professional appearance
- Experience working with R.M.A.'s
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability
- Ability to repair returned and manufactured product, construct fixtures and product aids, operate a soldering iron and small hand powered tools
- Possess an understanding of basic electronic circuits
- Determine needs and provide solutions to assembly fixturing requirements
- Working with RF products preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Other duties as required
- Support iso process May be required to serve as an iso internal auditor as outlined
Proficiency with using:
- Computer and printer
- Drill press
- Assorted hand and power tools used for electronic assembly and rework
- Volt ohm meter/Oscilloscope/Spectrum analyzer
- Soldering iron/Microscope/Hot air pencil
Education:
High school education required, 2 year college or greater desired
Must have good dexterity, Eyesight and be able to sit, stand and lift up to 25 lbs.
Be able to reach 30 inches
