WHAT WE DO Our Medication Services program support clients enrolled in mental health services through Med Clinics spread out across several ReDiscover locations. At our Med Clinics, our staff evaluates each client and prescribe and monitor medication as necessary. The program also supports some clients within various ReDiscover Substance Use Disorder programs as well.
At ReDiscover, while every day is different, a typical day may include the following roles and responsibilities: - Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.
- Strategically use assessment information to make an appropriate clinical evaluation of client's current conditions in a timely manner. This includes (but not limited to) making appropriate referrals, consulting with physician, and/or educating the client as appropriate.
- Manage timecards and schedules.
- Educate client and families on symptoms, medications and side effects.
- Problem solving with other members of leadership to improve quality of care.
- Rotating 24-hour coverage on-call
- Provide a welcoming approach towards all clients, visitors and guests from a trauma informed approach.
- Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover's designated electronic medical record.
We are focused on your development and will spend time helping you continue to grow as a Nurse Team Leader. However, here are some things that you will need prior to starting with ReDiscover: - Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Missouri license as a Registered Nurse or LPN
- At least two (2) years of experience in a supervisory and management role is required.
- Minimum of one (1) years of nursing experience in a mental health or substance use disorder setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as GSuite.
