OVERVIEW OF ROLE:
The Construction Coordinator oversees the installation of distribution and transmission facilities, ensuring compliance with contracts, specifications, and schedules. They serve as a liaison with Construction Supervisors, reporting on inspections, progress, and issues. Proactively resolving site issues and providing technical support to contractors are key responsibilities. They organize, schedule, and track construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential for coordinating activities, managing schedules, and addressing concerns. Additionally, they review project expenditures and facilitate meetings to coordinate work activities among project entities. They also contribute to budget documentation for short-term planning purposes. The Construction Coordinator will be tasked with organizing and scheduling meetings to coordinate work activities among various project entities, including those responsible for design, permitting, construction, and project closeout. Additionally, they collaborate closely with the Construction Supervisor, Construction Manager, and System Engineering and Planning to develop budgets for distribution and transmission projects, documenting them for the three-year Short Range Work Plan.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
High school diploma with 10+ years of relevant electric power experience. Associate or bachelor's degree in project management or construction management is preferred.
Six plus years of high voltage electric power transmission or medium voltage distribution construction management related experience is required.
Project Management Professional certification preferred.

Demonstrated knowledge of all company policies and procedures as well as all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Demonstrated knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and mathematical skills.
Demonstrated proficiency with general computer operation and Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all levels within the organization.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate and meet rapidly changing customer and business needs by quickly refocusing and realigning strategic and operational direction.
Demonstrated knowledge of electric utility design, construction standards, and work processes.
A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Ability to develop and motivate a team. Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
Demonstrated ability to think ahead and plan over a short and long-term focus.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand civil engineering topological drawings and site plans.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand electric one-line diagrams.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand construction drawings and component installation.
Demonstrated ability to identify and develop remediation plans to ensure project delivery goals.
Demonstrated ability to read and understand financial and accounting reports.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities and work closely with several different parties on large infrastructure
Possess the ability to use analytical, financial and project management
