Job description
Hiring a Systems Engineer for a contract (only able to do W2 not able to do corp to corp):
Responsibilities Include:
- Position Duties This fastpaced job position is intended for people who like to build analytics platforms and tooling which deliver real value to the business.
- Applicants should have a strong desire to learn new technologies and be interested in providing guidance which will help drive the adoption of these tools. The Analytics Engineer will assist with the engineering of MATLAB analytic platforms such as MATLAB on Hadoop and MATLAB Online Server on OpenShift.
- This person will also collaborate with Infrastructure Architects to design and implement environments based on these technologies for use in our enterprise data centers and Google Cloud Platform.
- Primary focus for this posting is MATLAB Online Server on OpenShift in Google Cloud Platform. Responsibilities include: Installing and configuring products target platform Working with platform support to resolve issues Working with vendor support to resolve issues Thoroughly testing product functionality on the platform; Developing custom installation guides configurations and scripts that are consistent with IT security policy; Providing 2nd level support regarding product related issues; Developing new tools and processes to ensure effective implementation and use of the technologies.
- Implementing monitoring/alerting and analyzing usage data to ensure optimal performance of the infrastructure.
- Maintaining a SharePoint site with relevant documentation FAQs processes etc. necessary to promote and support the use of these technologies.
Requirements
- Required Skills Ability collect and clearly document requirements.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple assignments.
- Ability to create & execute detailed project plans and test plans.
- Experience working on Google Cloud Platform ideally installing and administering products on the platform.
