This role is with the Cognizant Integration and Process Management Practice within Enterprise Platform Services Team (IPM-EPS). Cognizant’s IPM practice is a world leading provider of Hybrid Cloud Integration and Process Automation Services. IPM has strategic alliances with “best of bread” platform providers to provide service for Cloud Integration, Hybrid Integration Platforms, B2B Platforms, DPA and Low Code Platforms, and Cloud Integration.
Job Description: While each team member has a primary skill set, they are also expected to learn and contribute to areas outside of their primary skill set. The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. You will be expected to be a well-regarded and respected individual contributor; possess strong inter-personal skills. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
o Develop and maintain Python-based applications and software systems.
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions.
o Develop and maintain RESTful APIs
o Write and execute unit tests and integration tests.
o Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
o Integrate machine learning models with Python-based APIs, facilitating predictions and insights accessible via API endpoints.
o Scale APIs leveraging Python framework.
o Achieve efficient data access and manipulation within the API infrastructure.
o Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing codebase.
o Optimize code for performance and scalability.
o Proficiently documented APIs using tools like Swagger and Postman, enhancing readability, and facilitating comprehensive testing to maintain functionality and reliability.
o 4+ Years of hands-on experience on Python development
o 5+ years of Java development experience
o 2+ years Microservice (need to have built 10+ from scratch)
o Azure Cloud experience
o Experience with: Apache Camel, Azure Logic app, Azure Function, Azure Data Factory.
o Expertise integrating with other systems (API development)
o Experience with variety of Design Patterns
o Expertise in using both document based and relational DBs such as Couchbase, Azure Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, Azure SQL

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $90,200 to $134600 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
