Job description
Falcon Engineering Co, LLC (t/a The Falcon Group) is hiring one (1) Project Manager at our office located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania.
The job duties of a Project Manager are to:
- Coordinate and manage internal kick-off, milestone and closeout meetings for projects.
- Coordinate Draftsmen for projects.
- Review the work of Project Associates.
- Verify schedules, ensure adherence to project plans and timelines to be met by internal and external resources.
- Collect post-project feedback to look for issues and opportunities for improvement.
- Represent clients in obtaining bids and awarding construction contracts.
- Proactively monitor success measures, work complete, schedule complete and budget complete.
- Measure and monitor project performance.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects within budget restrictions.
- Create and review project status reports.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to Project Associates.
- Communicate status and issues while resolving discrepancies and problems.
- Business development which involves attendance at marketing functions, business dinners/events, and cross marketing with other offices.
- Work closely with teams to understand the scope of work, budget, goals, deliverables, and timeline to ensure project success.
- Conduct on-site inspections and documents existing conditions and performs field testing, photographing, the creation of hand sketches and to observe work in progress.
- Record field measurements and perform calculations.
- Organize field data to facilitate analysis and problem solving.
- Maintain organized records, files, drawings, or other data essential to the project and ensure they are complete and stored appropriately.
- Review construction plans.
- Preparation of written correspondence with clients, attorneys, contractors, etc.
- Prepare investigation reports and bid documents, including drawings and technical specifications.
- Preparation of Construction Cost Estimates.
- Knowledge of local and state building codes, and ability to apply to work.
- Improve job knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional network, and participating in professional societies.
The position of Project Manager may require local travel with a distance of no more than 10 miles away from the place of employment with travel limited to less than 5% of overall employment.
To qualify for the role of Project Manager, a candidate must have earned a minimum of a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management. The foreign equivalent of the listed U.S. degrees will be accepted.
