We are on the lookout for a visionary Vice President of Retail to spearhead the management of our expansive global network of over 100 retail outlets. This role is pivotal in championing our dynamic brand strategy to attract new enthusiasts to the world of leathercrafting and to enhance our brand's presence. Our retail outlets stand as a testament to our distinct market position, underlining our competitive edge and serving as the cornerstone for our sustained growth.

As the Vice President of Retail, you will play an instrumental role in transforming our retail landscape. This involves steering our stores towards becoming immersive, service-oriented experiences and refining the retail economics to optimize performance. Our journey of retail transformation is ongoing, and we seek a forward-thinking leader ready to engage hands-on, collaborate with top management, inspire our retail team through substantial transitions, and deepen our connection with our clientele.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Oversight: Assume full P&L accountability for the Retail Division, overseeing more than 100 stores across the United States, Canada, and Spain. Formulate and execute comprehensive plans for each store to elevate sales and profitability, including turnaround strategies for underperforming locations.
Leadership & Development: In partnership with Human Resources, bolster the growth of our internal talent and devise an effective external recruitment strategy. Enhance our retail training programs focusing on product expertise, customer service excellence, sales techniques, and leadership skills.
Operational Excellence: Establish and implement retail operational standards covering housekeeping, labor management, customer experience, inventory control, and day-to-day operations. Collaborate with Marketing and Product Management to ensure visual merchandising excellence and brand consistency across all channels.
Innovation & Growth: Lead initiatives to test and expand our Military and community outreach programs. Support the development and execution of a new customer loyalty program. Oversee store upgrades, capital improvements, and evaluate their return on investment.
Team Management: Recruit, nurture, and retain top retail talent. Promote a culture of development and career progression within the Retail Division.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
A minimum of 10 years' experience in direct retail management, preferably within specialty retail environments, with a proven track record of managing multiple locations.
Demonstrated experience in P&L management across multiple sites for at least 3-5 years, complemented by robust financial and analytical acumen.
A history of leading a sizable retail team through significant organizational changes, with personal attributes that include integrity, fairness, open-mindedness, and a profound respect for all team members.
A highly collaborative approach, capable of partnering effectively across all organizational levels.
Action-oriented mindset, underpinned by thorough analytical evaluation and decision-making.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
