Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of patient access representatives, providing guidance, training, and support in all aspects of their roles.
- Oversee telephone reception and scheduling operations to ensure prompt and accurate handling of all patient inquiries, appointment requests, and changes.
- Monitor and actively contribute to call volume management, ensuring that adequate staffing levels are maintained to deliver outstanding service to our patients.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes to optimize patient access workflows.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to streamline processes, resolve issues, and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data, and generate reports on patient access metrics to drive performance improvements.
- Participate in recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new team members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement professional development plans to enhance team members' skills and knowledge.
- Maintain effective communication channels both within the team and across the organization, sharing important updates, coordinating schedules, and ensuring a customer-centric approach.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Prior experience in a supervisory role in healthcare is preferred, particularly in patient access, scheduling, or call center operations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team towards achieving common goals.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and healthcare regulations.
- Proficiency in using healthcare information systems, scheduling software, and standard office productivity tools.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, quality, and patient satisfaction.
