Conviva is a Subsidiary of Humana, seeking a hard-working and dedicated Medical Scribe, that contributes to administration of care management. Provides non-clinical support to the assessment and evaluation of members' needs and requirements to achieve and/or maintain optimal wellness state by guiding members/families toward and facilitate interaction with resources appropriate for the care and wellbeing of members. The Medical Scribe performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support/computational tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments.

Job Functions
Ensuring uncompromised patient care by transcribing fast and accurately, as well as performing thorough editing.
Typing out the full forms of medical abbreviations and acronyms, as well as the formal versions of medical jargon.
Identifying and following up on inconsistencies, errors, and missing information within a transcribed report.
Submitting transcriptions to healthcare professionals for their approval in a timely manner.
Performing additional tasks such as following up and revising patient history, as well as entering medical reports into electronic health records systems.
Protecting patient confidentiality and adhering to legal requirements.
Receive patients, schedule appointments, and maintain patient records
Work with transcription equipment that can include speech recognition equipment, word processing, and computer software
Create templates and enter data into electronic health record (EHR) systems for updated record keeping and archives
Performing clerical and administrative tasks as necessary, including mail, phone calls, scheduling, submitting insurance claims, and operating common office machines.
Recording patient medical histories, physical examinations, test results, diagnoses, and treatment plans in digital audio files
Providing customer service to physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, and patients through email, telephone, or face-to-face meetings
Required Qualifications
A minimum of one year of administrative support experience in a healthcare industry
Previous experience as a medical scribe/healthcare documentation specialist
Thorough understanding of Medical Terminology
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's Degree
Experience as a Medical Assistant
Certification as a healthcare documentation specialist
A minimum of two years of experience as a medical transcriptionist, or similar
Previous eCW (eClinical Works) experience
Demonstrated excellent customer service and communication skills
Working hours : Monday to Friday 8AM-5PM
Additional Information
This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.
