Job description

Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, Adults, and the CD population.  In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone currently is in search of a full-time Executive Assistant. 

The Executive Assistant/Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative support for the CEO, Medical Director, Board of Directors, including performing clerical duties, attending departmental meetings, coordinating medical staff activities, maintaining medical staff files, coordinating board of directors activities and providing support relating to any other administrative issues that arise.  This position is also responsible/oversees the process of obtaining CAPS certification for all physicians and other mandatory contract/staff. Work with UHS legal to complete, recertify and establish annual FMV using CAM/ECM systems.  The Executive Assistant also provides administrative support to the CFO, and the Business Development Team of Wellstone Hospital by performing executive assistant duties; by exercising discretionary judgment in the performance of duties and responsibilities and other activities of the position, and by maintaining professional and personal educational growth and development.  Work ranges from standardized office support assignments to performance of administrative duties involving decision making and judgment.  Public contact is a major component of position, both internal and external to the organization.  Work requires contact with program staff, managers of other facilities/units within the organization, representatives of other state agencies/universities, clients/referral sources, elected/appointed representatives and the public.  Serves as the back-up patient advocate, as needed.

Qualifications

Requirements: 

Graduation from high school; minimum of three (3) years of experience as an Administrative Assistant; direct experience in the behavioral health field is preferred; be able to maintain: professionalism while working with diverse groups, a high level of confidentiality, excellent communication skills, attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establish priorities, and meet deadlines.  Extensive computer skills required (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook, and ACT or database type program).  This is an hourly, non-exempt position and is a full-time.
