Located in Orlando, our mission is to extend our reach across Florida and further, providing immediate support and resources to those in need. Through initiatives like the Home Bound Initiative, we offer comprehensive case management, essential resources, and collaborate with local partners to empower individuals and families towards stability and self-sufficiency. Our foundation is built on compassion, dignity, and community collaboration, aiming to develop sustainable solutions that make homelessness an exception.

Position Overview:

The Volunteer Coordinator is a pivotal role within the Framily Support Network, responsible for the development and success of our volunteer and outreach program. This position involves building and maintaining relationships with the community and organizations throughout Central Florida to recruit, train, and manage volunteers who are essential to our mission. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Volunteer Coordinator will play a key role in enhancing our capacity to serve our community effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers from the community and local organizations.
• Coordinate and conduct volunteer training sessions, ensuring volunteers are well-prepared to contribute to our mission.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, schools, and other organizations to support volunteer recruitment and engagement.
• Manage the volunteer schedule and assignments, ensuring a smooth operation of volunteer-supported activities and events.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the volunteer program, implementing improvements as needed.
• Organize volunteer recognition and appreciation events to maintain high levels of engagement and morale.
• Maintain accurate records of volunteer participation and contributions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in volunteer coordination or community outreach, preferably within a nonprofit organization.
• Proven track record of developing and managing volunteer programs.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a diverse group of volunteers and community partners.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Proficiency in database management and volunteer scheduling software.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, under the direction of the Executive Director.
