THE POSITION: We are looking for a Civil Technician I (MODS). The pay range we offer is $35,000 to $45,000 per year. We offer a generous compensation plan based on industry standards and your experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Civil Technician I will be responsible for performing various civil engineering tasks related to installing and maintaining telecommunications systems. This position requires high-level technical knowledge and experience in civil engineering principles and practices. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Perform detailed drawings for construction projects using AutoCAD software.
Develop cost estimates for projects based on labor and material costs.
Monitor construction progress to ensure compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
Inspect completed projects for accuracy and quality assurance.
Maintain accurate records of all project activities, including drawings, reports, photographs, etc.
Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in place of a degree.
Minimum three years' experience in civil engineering or related field required; experience in the telecommunications industry preferred.
Proficiency with AutoCAD software required; experience with GIS software preferred.
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations required; knowledge of osha safety regulations preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; ability to read blueprints preferred.
