Role Description
The AF Solutions Division within Boston Scientific was designed to support and treat patients with the most common heart arrhythmia – atrial fibrillation . The goal of the AF Solutions Strategic Selling Manager is to support the growth of a best-in-market AF Solutions field force through robust training and continuous development programs. The manager in this role will be responsible for the development and execution of a newly developed selling skills training program that involves existing market-leading technologies, such as WATCHMAN and POLARx , in addition to the newly approved FARAPULSE PFA System, which is expected to be a market leading technology in 2024. Boston Scientific has a best-in-class sales force in the cardiology space, and the Strategic Selling Program will provide the field the with resources that enhance their sales acumen and clinical influencing skills, and will offer continuous development growth opportunities.
Any of the following backgrounds are desired:
- Proven track record in medical device sales, including capital sales.
- Knowledge of selling skills, processes, and methodologies and/or previous sales experience.
- Proven work experience as a trainer, training facilitator and/or coordination of multiple training events.
- People management experience
- Experience in the cardiology Space and working knowledge and interest in the evolving healthcare landscape.
- Demonstrated skills in effectively conducting training in the following forums: one-on-one, classroom or virtual learning utilizing Teams and other web conferencing tools.
- Experience with Corporate Visions instructional models.
- Experience with Salesforce and associated Learning Management Systems and Enablement Platforms.
- Experience in development of systems and/or processes for tracking performance utilizing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

- Development and evolution of the AFS Territory Manager training program for new hires.
- Continuous evaluation and improvement of training program by assessing:

- Training Program Feedback
- Existing Field Performance
- A Robust KPI System
- Daily collaboration with several other business units to include:
- Clinical Training
- Field Sales
- Marketing
- Physician Education
- Cardiology Division Training Partners
Job Requirements:
- Fully remote based, but travel to Arden Hills, Maple Grove and training sites required.
- Approximately 40% overnight travel, with multiple consecutive days for classroom training.
- 5+ years of Medical Device Sales (Cardiology preferred, but not required).
- Able to facilitate in-person and virtual classrooms.
- High-energy and the ability to work in an ultra-fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage projects from the concept stage to fully executed programs.
- Ability to execute on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize projects based on business need.
- Great interpersonal and communication skills.
- Work collaboratively within the team and with other business functions.
- Continuous improvement mindset; ability to identify existing gaps/needs for sales training improvement.
- Ability to tailor training materials to specific audience.
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization and with outside vendors/consultants.
- Basic competency on Microsoft Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
