Job description
MyMichigan Health has an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the General Surgery and Trauma Team in Midland! This provider will be working with our Physicians to provide excellent care to patients in our community.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Rounding and coordinating care on trauma/acute care general surgery patients with attending surgeon
- Responding to ED trauma activations, consults and responding to inpatient nursing and ancillary department inquiries
- This is a daytime schedule, with a rotating five-week schedule with shifts varying from 7 a.m.- 7 p.m.
- There are no call requirements at this time
- Holidays that fall within the scheduled rotations are required
Qualifications:
- Candidates will be a graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Valid/current AHA ACLS certification
- ATLS certification is also required prior to completion of orientation
