ServiceNow Developer - Journeyman
Position Description
CGI is looking for a talented, driven ServiceNow Developer to ensure successful delivery of a critical project for a federal client. The ServiceNow Developer will be responsible for design, build, test, and implementation support of ServiceNow Customer Service Management (CSM) Professional. This role will work in an Agile environment.
This position is located in our Lafayette,LA office, however a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
• Manage and support a FedRAMP-authorized ServiceNow instance.
• Develop, design, configure, and roll out new modules, workflows, and catalog requests.
• Design and deliver technical solutions developed on the ServiceNow platform.
• Provide software configuration and customization including, but not limited to screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting, and third-party software integrations.
• Create integrations and process automation using API and data integration processes between ServiceNow and other services.
• Create and maintain Service Catalog Items and Knowledge Bases.
• Work with IT Service Management team and other key client stakeholders within IT and the business.
• Understand business requirements for ServiceNow
• Familiarity using several in-house applications and technologies (e.g., LDAP, Web-services, etc.)
• Participate in sizing the application for future growth and scalability.
• Perform technical configurations, application maintenance, and house-keeping activities.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to ServiceNow application configuration and other technical issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve the platform.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
• 3 to 6 years of ServiceNow development experience required (experience with Rome or later releases)
• Familiarity with ITIL practice areas and IT Service Management (ITSM) principles
• Experience supporting the customization, administration, and configuration of ServiceNow CSM Pro
• Experience in importing ServiceNow data from another ServiceNow instance
• Prior experience integrating ServiceNow with other applications
• Experience integrating ServiceNow with modern cloud-based telephony solutions, such as Amazon Connect, highly desirable
• In-depth knowledge of scripting languages, including JavaScript
• Technical skills, including workflow configuration and business rule development
• Familiar with development and release processes in an Agile environment
• Problem-solving skills and ability to improve and innovate
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts in plain language
• ServiceNow Application Developer and/or System Administrator certification preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
Due to the nature of the government contracts this position requires US eligibility (USC and GC holders).
CGI Federal anticipates accepting applications for this position through 4/30/2024.
CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to: skill set level, experience and training, and licensure and certifications. CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is between $59,000-$165,000.
