Job description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Family Law Attorney. This position will focus on providing legal counsel in Family Law, Parentage, Divorce, Child Custody, Custody, Child Support, Domestic Violence, Restraining Orders, and Guardianship cases. The successful candidate will have experience in these areas of law and be a confident, organized, and detail-oriented individual.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel clients on their legal issues and assist in resolving their legal matters
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Prepare legal documents such as petitions, motions, and briefs
- File documents with courts or other agencies
- Advise clients on the law and their rights
- Represent clients in court proceedings
- Negotiate with opposing parties
- Stay abreast of changes in the law
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree or equivalent
- Active license to practice law in the state
- Strong knowledge of Family Law, Parentage, Divorce, Child Custody, Custody, Child Support, Domestic Violence, Restraining Orders, and Guardianship
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent writing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible, detail-oriented, and organized
