We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Cyber Engineer to join our dynamic full stack development team. This is a full-time job that is 100% remote from anywhere within the US .
As a Cyber Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and managing various cybersecurity tools and technologies to ensure the security and integrity of our organization's systems and networks. Your expertise using code scanning tools, deciphering STIG's, writing POAMs and knowledge of CTF (Cert to Field) ATO (Authority to Operate) and VAULTIS will be instrumental in securing our critical assets and defending against cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain CTF (cert to field) tools and methodologies in an Air Force environment to assess and improve our security posture
- Implement VAULTIS, the new DoD Data Strategy to secure and share data
- Conduct STIG (Security Technical Implementation Guide) assessments and ensure compliance with STIG requirements in GovCloud for the Air Force
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement a robust DSO (defense-in-depth, secure operations) pipeline
- Utilize ACAS (Assured Compliance Assessment Solution) to conduct vulnerability assessments and identify potential security vulnerabilities
- Implement and utilize code scanning tools to identify and remediate security flaws in software applications
- Develop and maintain POAM (Plan of Action and Milestones) to track and prioritize cybersecurity remediation efforts
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance. Must be able to obtain an Interim Secret clearance before start date.
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity or a related field with five or more years of experience. Relevant experience and certifications will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Tenable Security Center and Nessus for vulnerability management
- Strong understanding of DoD environments, CTF
- In-depth knowledge of STIF requirements and implementation
- Familiarity with DSO pipeline concepts and implementation
- Proficiency in using ACAS for vulnerability assessments
- Experience with VAULTIS – DoD Data Strategy
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of various compliance frameworks, such as NIST, HIPAA or PCI-DSS
- Familiarity with cloud security and virtualization technologies
