Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Form sheet, plate, extrusion, and machine parts of ferrous and non-ferrous metals to engineering requirements.
• Set up and operate forming machines such as arbor press, hydraulic press, stretch press, and shrinker/stretcher.
• Determine, select, and set pressures through a trial-and-error method, recording data for future set-ups.
• Utilize air hammers or mallets to form metal if wrinkles are present.
• Fabricate and use custom forming tools for minor adjustments to parts.
• Visually inspect parts against specified inspection media like surface tables, contour templates, and mylar.
• Make necessary adjustments to presses to ensure proper part formation.
• Work with materials including ferrous and non-ferrous metal alloys in various forms such as extrusions, machined parts, sheet, and plate stock.
• Utilize hand tools, mallets, air hammers, check fixtures, calipers, micrometers, scales, and tape measures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in forming.
• Ability to comprehend blueprints and work specifications.
• Preferred completion of a welding certificate.
• Preferred experience in the aerospace industry.
