Fire Protection Engineer (Mid-Level to Senior)
Location : San Jose, CA

Salary Range: $80k - $120k

THE POSITION
You will play a key role in a growing company. You are a talented and experienced professional who will join a technical team of degreed and licensed engineers and designers to manage and teach the members of the fire suppression team. You will assist clients in creating practical and effective fire protection systems as well as identifying value-engineering opportunities. Some travel is required, but mostly on day trips to job sites in the San Francisco Bay Area. A local candidate is preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing projects.
Collaborating with customers, assisting with technical questions, and confirming scope.
Engineering systems and creating permit or construction drawings through Revit or AutoSprink.
Coordination with other trades.
Perform quality control reviews of drawings and other deliverables created by team members.
Administrating onsite commissioning, where necessary, and managing projects from pre-design through post-occupancy phases of the work.
Preparing reports and delivering presentations when required.
Conducting site surveys and facilities assessments.
Mentoring other team members to teach fire suppression engineering fundamentals.
EXPERIENCE
Professional Engineer, Fire Protection Engineer, or NSFA education certificates are a plus.
