Responsibilities
This position - reporting directly to the Marketing & Product Manager - is responsible for coordination of the portfolio of fastener products for HFS Industrial to bring to market, implementation of the marketing strategy to support that portfolio, and support of that product and marketing strategy with appropriate pricing policy.
- Pricing
- Work with Marketing & Product Manager to developa pricing policy for new and existing fastener products in conjunction with Operations and in line with business strategy.
- Monitor product portfolio and mix, making suggestions to maximize cost-price competitiveness.
- Contribute to development and maintenance ofa framework for global manufacturing and supply cost-price analysis and alignment.
- Provide input and recommendations to Purchasing Manager regarding purchasing and stocking volumes on strategic products and initiatives.
- Act as primary backup to the Pricing Coordinator.
- Product Management
- Monitor and support life cycle of product from inception to production and delivery to the customer. Continue to monitor and make recommendations post launch.
- Ensure the Voice of the Customer is continually sought, recorded, and incorporated into the product development process and product lifecycle.
- Assist Marketing & Product Manager in conceptualizing new products in cooperation with Engineering/R&D, and coordinate with other departments to ensure timely development and production.
- Provide market support of products during commercialization phase.
- Coordinate fastener product development to ensure timely, targeted delivery of new or improved products that meet specific customer or general market needs, thereby expanding sales and markets, while ensuring profitability of growth.
- Evaluate and propose market research yielding target market niches and customers for sales force pursuit and development. Conduct detailed analysis to evaluate market potential
- Visit key strategic customers to develop an intimate understanding of their product needs and ensure strong satisfaction levels are developed and maintained.
- Develop strong working relationships both internally with HFS Waco and the Sales team and externally with customers.
- Ensure that leads, opportunities and sharegain are accurately tracked in CRM.
- Marketing
- Support all marketing efforts for HFS Industrial Fastener Products, maximizing overall market share and profitability while reducing costs.
- Contribute to the development ofdigital, print and other marketing media to secure the attention of both current and potential customers.
- Assist the Marketing & Product Manager in the development, creation, and maintenance of a worldwide sales budget to address the strategic allocation of resources to optimize value added impact with regard to advertising, market, and product development.
- Assist withall aspects of outward-bound market communications including any third-party agency activities, advertising, promotional material, and literature development, production and distribution of high impact print or electronic media (brochures/catalogs/trade ads) within defined time and cost budgets.
- Evaluate global marketplace to understand where value can be gained and prioritize projects accordingly.
- Monitor performance against sales team objectives and support the team where necessary in achieving their product strategy action plans.
- Develop strong working relationships with engineering, sales, quality, marketing, and operations management to ensure that accurate information can be obtained, and that product strategy is implemented successfully. Issue a monthly report to ensure that key projects remain on track.
- Analyze the competition and contribute to the database on related products (fasteners & tooling) with forecasts, volumes, and market segment details.
- Assist with Company participation and logistics in trade shows to showcase product offerings to potential customers.
- Maintain full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with Company Standards of Business Conduct.
Qualifications Qualifications: - A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required. That degree is preferred to be in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Logistics, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of two years of experience in Sales, Marketing, or Sales Administration activities in an organization producing precision industrial products, preferred.
- Solid planning, organizing, and implementation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills to deliver business concepts in a clear and compelling manner.
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing and completing multiple work assignments in diverse fields with minimal direction.
- Ability to gain cooperation from individuals at all levels of HFS and customer organizations.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred: - Technical knowledge of industrial fastener and/or installation tooling products.
- Working understanding of industrial fastener manufacturing.
- Mechanical system knowledge and skills for in-person trials and support.
Ability to analyze, understand, and apply on a practical basis the financial impact of various sales and marketing strategies and programs.
