Job description
Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership : Spearhead the design of mechanical components and subsystems using SolidWorks and other advanced tools to fulfill specific project criteria.
- Engineering Analysis : Validate design proposals through comprehensive engineering analysis ensuring viability and efficiency.
- Documentation and Release : Manage the documentation process including the creation of part drawings assembly drawings control drawings purchased parts specifications and bills of material.
- Collaborative Sourcing : Actively collaborate with the Purchasing team and external vendors to align sourcing strategies with design requirements.
- Manufacturing Support : Provide endtoend support to the manufacturing process from design to final testing. This includes overseeing fabrication assembly and on occasion installation processes.
Qualifications:
- SolidWorks Mastery : Demonstrated proficiency in SolidWorks up to SW2023 for mechanical design tasks.
- Engineering Fundamentals : Strong foundation in mechanical stress and strain analysis with a solid understanding of basic hydraulics pneumatics vacuum systems and power transmission.
- Project Management Skills : Excellent planning and interfacing skills for executing product development activities with minimal supervision.
- Analytical Competence : Advanced analytical judgment and problemsolving capabilities.
- Technical Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel Outlook and PowerPoint.
- MRP/ERP Systems : Familiarity with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Educational Background : Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Experience : At least 5 years of mechanical engineering experience specifically in machine design roles.
- SelfManagement : Highly independent and motivated capable of executing tasks from written or verbal instructions with minimal oversight.
- Operational Integrity : Unwavering integrity work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Team Collaboration : Proven ability to work effectively within a team contributing positively to organizational goals.
