The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for leading all new product introduction efforts and will be the OEM Quality Contact for major OEM Customers. Additionally, the ITAR Quality Engineer function will be included.
Job Responsibilities:
- Establishment of quality engineering disciplines during the development phases of the product to ensure that quality objectives are met.
- Develop quality standards for new products to ensure robust product launch and no quality issues when released to production.
- Engineer, document, communicate and/or implement quality deliverables as defined by internal procedures, customer requirements, and industry standards for assigned, advanced program commodities.
- Reporting of New Product Introduction status and issues that may directly or indirectly lead to the detriment of quality or financial performance of the assigned advanced program commodities.
- Work with Suppliers, Customers to communicate quality issues for assigned responsibilities.
- 8-D’s,8-Steps, PPSR’s, 5 Whys, DMN’s, Quality Alerts
- Work on setting up and monitoring program PPAPs submission level (1,2,3,4 or 5)

- Review and concurrence of influential engineering inputs to assigned advanced program commodities to verify that expectations of requirements and workmanship are demonstrated.
- Review, disposition, and documented communication of discrepancies for supplier sample submissions of new or changed, advanced program materials.
- Coordination and preparation of required inputs and outputs to ensure that customer product; material, and documentation submissions are accurate, timely and complete.
- Document all activities as required.
- Position requires compliance with the Technology Control Plan and the Federal Export Control Policy established for the Corporation.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4-year engineering degree preferred or equivalent industry quality experience.
- Previous quality experience is a must, including experience/knowledge with Six Sigma and TS16949. and Excel.
- Accomplished communicator, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to interact with employees within all levels of the organization as well as customer representatives.
- Experience with the following: MS Office, JD Edwards, GageTrak
- Equipment knowledge: Micrometers, Comparator, Calipers, Multimeter, Gauges
