Job description
Seasoned Recruitment is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional for the position of Retail Pharmacist. In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent patient care and ensuring the accurate and timely dispensing of prescription medications. You will work closely with healthcare providers and patients to optimize medication therapy and provide medication counseling.
Responsibilities:
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all prescriptions are filled in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Provide medication counseling to patients regarding proper usage, potential side effects, and drug interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and contribute to patient care plans.
- Accurately maintain patient records and medication profiles.
- Manage inventory and ordering of medications and supplies.
- Stay updated on new medications and pharmacy practice guidelines.
- Participate in quality assurance programs to ensure medication safety and effectiveness.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- PharmD degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
- Pharmacy licensure in the state of practice.
- Previous experience as a retail pharmacist is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and counseling skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Proficiency in pharmacy software and computer systems.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
