Job description
As the Technician Recruiter, you will be responsible for full-cycle recruiting and hiring for all Dayton Freight Shop locations and provide related support to various Recruiting and Employee Relations Department functions.
- Responsible for full-cycle hiring for all Shop roles
- Conduct Linked In and Indeed searches to establish contact with passive candidates
- Work with the Recruiting Manager and Marketing team to create advertising campaigns to attract ideal candidates
- Monitor applicant flow for all Shop roles
- Work with Recruiting Assistant to post open roles to job boards and in the ATS
- Prepare and organize recruiting materials for career fairs
- Become familiar with Operational and Shop roles to understand job functions of open positions
- Facilitate Apprenticeship program
- Work with Recruiting Assistant to coordinate and facilitate open interviews
- Coordinate in-person interviews for Shop Managers and Region Maintenance Managers
- Facilitate weekly and bi-weekly meeting with Managers to discuss priority in hiring needs.
- Maintain consistent communication with Shop Managers on the status and applicant flow of their respective positions
- Assist with responding to Recruiting/HR emails and phone calls
- Research and conduct initial phone calls with recruiting resources to determine fit for Company’s needs
- Establish and maintain contact with local colleges and universities to recruiting future candidates
- Assist with other recruiting tasks and projects as needed
- Document processes and procedures of job functions
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and positive manner
- Continuously improve processes
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 2 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Experience recruiting qualified Mechanics, preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to establish effective and cooperative working relationships built on trust
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Comfortable making decisions independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
- Self-starter, able to work in a team and independently
