6month contract to hire
Pay Range: $50.00 - $70.00per hr / Salary Target: $100K - $150K
Job Description:
Our client is an investment private equity firm based in New York City - this position however is located in San Mateo, CA. They are backfilling a Sr. Help Desk/Support Engineer that can carry a heavy 'bag' of responsibilities. This includes all things related to Help Desk & Support as well as Systems Administration. You will be providing local and remote support to all of their 'field' professionals as well managing the onsite infrastructure and working closely with a small technology team to solve end user problems and systems and networking challenges. For this role onsite is required for a minimum of 3 days.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years working in Information Technology (prior financial services experience preferred)
- OS Platforms: MacOS, iOS, Windows 10
- Microsoft Office 2016, 2019, 365
- A+ certified or equivalent experience (MCSE certification a plus)
- Knowledge of Windows Server Roles: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Experience supporting Salesforce on the Accounting side
- Knowledge of remote access technologies
- Ability to prevent, diagnose, and remediate Malware
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot connectivity issues (i.e. does PC have IP address, is email flowing)
- Ability to troubleshoot issue with common office productivity applications such as MS Office, Zoom, etc.
- Knowledge of modern communications systems (video conferencing, teleconferencing, cellular networks)
Bonus/Soft Skills:
- Experience supporting accounting software - Alta Return, Quicken, Quickbooks, NetSuite
- Experience with VMWare vSphere and ESXi
- Salesforce Administration experience
- Experience and/or interest in AI and Machine Learning technologies
- Quicken, QuickBooks, and other Accounting platforms
- Salesforce (or other CRM)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in addition to analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast-paced result driven environment
- High standards of quality and personal integrity
- Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems is a plus
