Job description

Chipton-Ross is seeking 6 Reliability and Maintainability Engineer 3's for a contract opportunity in Everett, WA.

*This position is 100% ONSITE

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Candidate will help design, certify & support commercial airplanes by applying state-of-art reliability and maintainability engineering design, modeling, and analysis principles. R&M Engineering is a key functional discipline that supports the airplane development for optimal performance, lifecycle economics & compliance to safety and airworthiness requirements.
o Use modeling, simulation and data analytics methodologies & tools including statistical and probabilistic analyses.
o Serve as a technical specialist supporting other functional design groups during all stages of the airplane product development and support lifecycle.
o Responsible for aiding in determining program technical performance measures (TPMs) such as schedule reliability, airplane operational availability & maintenance cost.
Provide support in the following areas:
o Design for Reliability & Safety (airplane and system design reliability requirements validation & verification, reliability requirements allocation to suppliers, failure modes, rates, effects, propagation and detection analysis, architecture & operational provisions, safety & certification analysis, certification support, reliability & durability testing).
o Interaction with airplane system suppliers, business partners, airline customers, airplane development program leaders, and functional management is typical, as is a high level of communication between the rest of the R&M Engineering internal organization, program teams, and functional design areas. Team involvement and individual effort, problem solving, and managing multiple actions and assignments will be regular duties for an R&M engineer.

HARD REQUIREMENTS:
o 8 or more years' related work experience in the reliability engineering field.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
o Experience with propulsion or airplane systems.
o Reliability engineering experience.
o Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) experience.
o Commercial Airplane Certification experience.

EDUCATION:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in an engineering discipline, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry and typically 5 or more years' experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification.

WORK HOURS: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
