POSITION SUMMARY
The individual in this position will supervise, coordinate and perform all repairs and maintenance to machines and equipment. Prepare work schedules, assign work, and oversee the work product. Coordinate service from outside contractors as required. A familiarity with manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures will be necessary. Rely on experience and judgment to accomplish goals and perform a variety of complicated tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required with minimal supervision.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinates and oversees Maintenance Technicians, develops work schedules, and individual and department performance to established objectives. Responsible for Time and Attendance management of Maintenance Personnel.
Responsible for Supervising Maintenance Personnel; performance management, coaching, and issuing discipline / corrective actions when necessary.
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs all machines and equipment, and assists with general maintenance of the facility.
Assists operations in the development and execution of preventive maintenance plans. Projects will include facility and infrastructure planning, systems upgrades, procurement of parts and services as needed, and verification and validation support with IQ, OQ, and PQ protocols.
Fully utilizes preventive maintenance system and ensures adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
Coordinates utility supply and connection to manufacturing equipment.
Provides engineering and technical support to make repairs, adding new features or functionality to new or existing equipment.
Collaborates with other operating departments within the company as well as supplier representatives to evaluate product, process or materials in order to execute operating plans.
Maintains and prepares updated maintenance part inventory reports as requested.
Maintains inventory of tools and machine components at prescribed levels.
Writes purchase requisitions and tracks purchased items through the order system including identity upon receipt, update of inventory records, label, and storage.
Performs general maintenance and other duties as assigned.
Maintains and updates as needed SOP-240 maintenance records.
Performs electrical work.
