Providence Community Health Centers is recruiting for a Double-Boarded Pedi-Adult Psychiatrist. Our Integrated Behavioral Health team provides direct psychiatric care, evaluation, and psychopharmacology treatment to Health Center patients. At PCHC, the Psychiatrist is a member of the clinical practice team and works collaboratively with other team members in providing patient care. Our weekday outpatient practice affords great work/life balance and our HRSA Mental score of 23, the highest in Rhode Island, provides excellent opportunity for loan repayment.

Overview:

Provide direct psychiatric care, evaluation, and psychopharmacology treatment to Health Center patients as well as provide psychiatric consultation with medical providers, mental/behavioral health clinicians, case managers, and other employees specified by assigned supervisor. The Psychiatrist is a member of the clinical practice team and works collaboratively with other team members in providing patient care. As part of the team-based approach to care, the Psychiatrist will participate in coordinating care for individual patients, will support patients and families in self-management, through evidenced-based approaches as may be appropriate, will engage in health center projects that are aimed at specific patient population needs, and will utilize effective and appropriate communication strategies, such as health literacy approaches when working with patients.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Complete all required documentation in a timely fashion including: written documentation in electronic health record, and all other forms and documents as required by the department, company, state and federal agencies
