Human Resources Intern – Fall 2024

This is a hybrid position with 1-2 days in the Green Bay office.

Our downtown Green Bay headquarters is full of dynamic and fun people who want to share their knowledge!

As an intern at Imperial, we’ll help you design an experience that meets your learning objectives while helping you explore how the areas of our business relate and interact. You’ll enjoy a variety of day-to-day work assignments, cross-functional meetings, exposure to executive leadership, and soft skill development.

Imperial Supplies is a growing distributor of fleet maintenance products. We’ve been based in Green Bay since 1958 and have a strong history of double-digit annual growth!

Internship details

• Paid internship beginning in Fall 2024
• Duration of 12 weeks, up to 20 hours per week depending on student interest and availability
• Willing to provide supporting documentation for students seeking school credit

Potential Learning Outcomes:

• Understand how Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, and Employee Relations functions interact and complement each other within the department
• Gain exposure to software such as Articulate, SAP, and third-party benefit software
• Review data and trends to understand how HR initiatives drive the outcome of business needs
• Application of employment law, training development, and employer branding decisions come together day to day

Potential Day to day responsibilities

• Review resumes, observe/participate in interviews
• Observe and participate in processing LOAs, investigations, coaching conversations
• Deliver handbook and benefits onboarding information to new Imperial Team Members
• Attend company events and manage projects supporting our Employer Brand proposition
• Personnel File Management

Internship Requirements

• Active enrollment in an accredited college
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong Integrity
• Objective thinking
