Overview:
Join us at the Kansas City Autism Training Center (KcATC), where we're actively seeking passionate individuals to join our team as an Autism Therapist. If you have a love for working with children on the autism spectrum and thrive in a dynamic, engaging preschool environment, we want to hear from you.
The Kansas City Autism Training Center is a private, childcare facility that specializes in teaching life-changing skills to children with autism. KcATC serves children ages of two through eight.
Responsibilities:
- Accelerate the development of children with and without ASD diagnoses.
- Gather learning materials and supplies needed for classroom use.
- Provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) interventions to children ages 2-8 both in individual and small-group lessons.
- Advocate for children through data collection, analysis and graphing regarding behaviors and progress.
- Collaborate with other program staff to ensure program consistency.
- Facilitate development of children, staff, and families with an emphasis on dignity and compassion.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Passion and previous experience working with children. Autism disorder experience a plus.
- Strong sense of reliability and responsibility.
- Desire to have ongoing training that is individualized to a student's skills and interests.
- Enjoy working in a collaborative team setting with other staff, students and their families.
- Will obtain Registered Behavioral Technician certification during this role.
