Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Assumes responsibility for the daily activities in the department in part or in full as directed. Responsibilities include supervision of repairs of instruments and equipment. Acts as a preceptor for new orientees. Performs special projects. Ensures adequate supply levels of equipment are sufficient to meet patient care needs. Maintains statistical information, equipment logs, and procedure tray inventory. Place special orders through Matkon and maintains changes in TDS. Maintains and orders through the Hand-held System.

Insure that [unit/department/division] is in compliance with all applicable policies, laws and regulations.

EDUCATION:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Supervisory experience in Central Sterile Supply required.
• Windows, Word and Excel Computer.
• Matkon and TDS Systems.
• Inventory Control.
• Hand-held Computer system.
• Successful Completion of all Orientation Programs.
