Position Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Arctic Operations and Development, the Senior Project Manager will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and successful completion of specific projects. The role requires ensuring alignment with company strategy, commitments, and goals while maintaining a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Manage the execution of heavy civil construction projects from inception to completion.
Review and interpret project documents to accurately estimate scopes of work and assist with construction administration.
Analyze and resolve constructability issues during plan and specification reviews.
Coordinate and supervise field construction staff to ensure safe and timely project execution.
Develop contracts and negotiate revisions with stakeholders.
Prepare budget estimates and progress reports.
Manage project schedules and resource allocations.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Provide logistical support for research projects in remote Alaska communities.
Mentor other staff members as needed.
Conduct project evaluations and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications:
8+ years of progressive experience in managing heavy civil construction.
5-10 years of field management experience in Alaska.
Extensive knowledge of Arctic projects and remote logistics management.
Experience with federal government/military projects.
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Physical Demands:
Ability to perform various physical tasks associated with construction sites.
Occasional travel to construction sites and field offices.

Environmental Conditions:
Work environment includes both office and field settings.
Exposure to outdoor weather conditions may be required.

Authorized Driver Requirement:
Valid driver's license and compliance with company policies on vehicle usage.
