Job Summary The Turnings Crusher Operator will work with raw material from holding bays and load and process through a crushing machine then stage for the next process step.
Description of basic functions and responsibilities - Must be able to wear personal protective equipment throughout the work day:
- Hard Hat
- Safety Glasses
- Hi-Visibility Vest
- Steel Toe Boots
- Gloves
- Hearing Protection
- Operate the turnings crusher according to machine operating instructions
- Will be trained in fighting titanium fires
- Carry out production requirements as directed by the area supervisor daily
- Operate forklift and bobcat to load and unload machine
- Move inventory and materials across the facility on a forklift
- Inspect finished (crushed) material to verify conformity for the next phase in the production process
- Inspect machines daily as described by internal checklists
- Good written communication skills:
- Filling out travel tags on production material
- Updating production & downtime logs
- Communicate any machine issues to supervision and maintenance employees
- Ensure the workplace is free from potential safety hazards; keeping the work area neat and clean
Physical Demands - Must be able to work in varying work environments
- High temperatures
- Cold temperatures
- High humidity
- Moderate noise levels
- Standing 75% of the time
- Some pulling/pushing involved
- Moderate bending and stooping
