Job description

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and engaged. Competitive wages offered for a full time position.
Must keep Serve Safe Certification current at all times.
Passion for food service, effective team player and, problem solver.
Follow and enforce all applicable safety procedures specified for kitchen and food servers.
Responsible for the production, preparation and quality of all food services for A-brew’s Tap and Grill.
Train, develop and motivate kitchen staff to meet and exceed established food preparation/recipe standards on a constant basis.
Schedule self and staff to meet kitchen needs. Avoid overtime and unnecessary paid labor. Time management/forward plan/balance.
Display leadership by providing a positive work environment, teaching employees and disciplining when warranted.
Must document and provide direction for all day-to-day operations to include (but not limited to):
1. All temperature and Shrinkage Logs
2. Daily Tasks, Duties, Cleaning, Sanitizing and Par lists
3. Weekly Specials – Devise and create inventive dishes using current inventory and local and seasonal produce.
Ensure proper purchasing and receiving with all food and kitchen related vendors.
Check deliveries on receipt ensuring that faulty items are returned, ensuring that the relevant paperwork is received and processed.
Maintain appropriate and necessary inventory at all times.
Stock levels must be kept at agreed levels so that the groceries are fresh and frozen products are used quickly and rotated in a
systematic way.
Advocate cost effective and sound financial/business decision making. Demonstrate honesty, integrity and lead by example.
Actively involved in menu development and maintaining updated and accurate costing of all dishes prepared and sold.
Determine how food should be prepared and presented and create decorative, cost effective and consistent flags.
Ensure compliance with all food handling, sanitation and storage standards in accordance with the Dracut Board of Health.
Frequently review finished products for quality and presentation before orders are sent out. Monitor and control kitchen flow.
Act to minimize shrinkage and waste at all stages of food production implementing controls and keeping records.
Any other reasonable duties as requested by the owners of A-brew’s Tap and Grill.
