We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our team to support our federal clients. In this role, the ideal candidate will analyze and design solutions to business problems while facilitating the development of multiple solution options to address the needs of the customer. Furthermore the candidate will have a deep understanding of business analysis principles and experience in implementing them using Agile methods as well as a dept at bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, communicate with stakeholders and developers alike, and driving the successful implementation of project initiatives. Experience in data and analytics, application development or related experience is preferred. SAFe certification a plus.
- Cross-functional teams: Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, interpret cross-cutting and complex requirements, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance business operations.
- Business process: Evaluate existing business processes, programs, and/or legacy systems in their native environments and perform a comprehensive analysis of existing problems and understand the areas for optimization.
- System understanding: Capture and communicate the requirements of systems in a clear and standardized manner using such methods as case diagrams, class diagrams, and activity diagrams.
- Requirements Elicitation: Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and Agile teams to gather and document business requirements in accordance with Agile methods.
- Feature Definition: Work closely with product owners to define features and user stories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and prioritizing based on value.
- Backlog Management: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring it is well-groomed and ready for Sprint Planning.
- SAFe Framework Adherence: Ensure that business analysis activities align with the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), contributing to the successful execution of Agile Release Trains (ARTs).
- Collaboration: Foster collaboration between business and technical teams, acting as a bridge to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and priorities.
- Communication: Clearly communicate business requirements and expectations to development teams, ensuring a common understanding of deliverables.
- Metrics and Analysis: Utilize data and metrics to analyze the success of features and products, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst in Agile environments.
- 2+ years experience with Agile methodologies, ideally in SAFe framework.
- 2+ years experience data and analytics, application development, and/or working with web-based applications and modern web technologies.
- Proficiency in UML (Unified Modeling Language) and BPM-N (Business Process Modeling).
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with at least one cloud-based environment (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency in project management & collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Teams).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal and presentation skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP).
- SAFe Certified Business Analyst (SBA) certification.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.
