Job description
BAE Systems is seeking a Systems Administrator.
In this position you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and networking of UNIX and/or NT based platforms.
- You will create, modify, and delete user accounts
- Perform system backups
- Maintain system configuration files
- Install and configure hardware, operating systems and commercial software packages
- Will develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verification of the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure.
- Will provide support for the enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, and e-mail.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Requires: - TS/SCI Clearance with appropriate poly
- Ability to work onsite 100% of the time
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, be able to perform all functions of a “System Administrator I” coupled with 5 years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise.
- Non-degree: The individual shall have 5 years of full time computer science work can substitute for the Bachelor’s Degree, be able to perform all functions of a System Administrator I, and have 5 years of demonstrable experience in system administration and support of a large client-server based IT enterprise. This experience shall include installation, configuration, and networking of UNIX and/or NT based platforms.
- IAT Level II Certification required
- This experience shall include:
- Creating, modifying and deleting user accounts, performing system back-ups, and maintaining system configuration files.
- Individual shall have a fundamental understanding of operating systems and be familiar with either UNIX or NT commands or utilities at the user level.
- In addition, experience shall include the installation and configuration of hardware, operating systems, and commercial software packages.
- Individual shall be able to develop and implement enterprise backup/recovery strategies, server configuration and consolidation, and verification of the health and status of the entire IT infrastructure.
- Individual shall be able to provide support for the enterprise services such as DNS, NFS, and e-mail.
MDOPS
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $91980 - $156330
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
