Job Description:

Position is responsible for the general supervision and administrative oversight of Centennial Student Union ( CSU ) building operations in support of the educational programs of the University. This position assists with the logistical planning, coordination and execution of furniture set-up, equipment needs, and staffing for meetings and events in the CSU . Additionally, this position supervises a graduate assistant and part-time student staff to deliver exceptional customer service with an emphasis on student learning and employee growth.

Work safely at all times, which includes but is not limited to, participating and completing all required safety trainings, as well as performing all job tasks in accordance with Minnesota State University, Mankato policies and procedures utilizing appropriate tools, equipment and personal protective equipment.

Participation in required weekend and evening events, and projects (position has a Tuesday-Saturday work schedule. During the summer and breaks, the schedule adjusts based on event needs and hours of operation).

Participation in industry related association meetings for the purpose of cultivating new knowledge and opportunities.

May be contacted for consultation or required to response to an emergency on campus at any time.


Based on the essential functions of this positions, MMB Policy #1422, and University policies relating to flexible work, this position is eligible for the following work modes: Up to 5% of the time.


Mobile enough to manage and supervise job functions.

Be able to lift and carry 10-25 pounds frequently, and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
