Job Duties for Structural Welder Bryan TX:
- Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
- Hours of Work: 6 AM – 4:30 PM, overtime as needed.
- 2-hour weld test included with the interview.
- The manager seeks individuals with experience in structural and pipe layout, fit and weld, and the ability to read pipe and structural drawings.
- Must communicate effectively and lead by example.
- Punctuality is essential.
Equipment Needed for Weld Test:
- Minimum: Welding hood, pair of welding gloves.
- Typical: Dressed appropriately for the job (hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots), welding hood, pair of welding gloves, wire brush, needle-nose pliers, grinder (4 ½ inch with disc and wire wheel).
- Must pass a 3G 1/2′ plate open root MIG and Flux fill and cap weld test.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform welding tasks using GMAW and FCAW processes.
- Review production drawings and determine fabrication processes.
- Prepare materials for fabrication.
- Set welding machines for required output.
- Ensure work is performed in a quality-minded, tidy, and accurate manner.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Attend work per the schedule.
- Possess all tools required for the position within 90 days of employment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications for Structural Welder Bryan TX:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 1-3 years of welding experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous certification is a plus.
- Ability to use standard fabrication shop equipment.
- Basic mathematical skills required.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow diagrams, schematics, and drawings.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good communication skills.
