Job Description:

We are seeking an AIOPS Engineer to join our Full Stack SRE cloud software development team. We bring insights to life powered by data and ML/AI and develop and deliver a range of solutions that work seamlessly with the rich product offerings from Juniper across network, infrastructure, applications, data, ML, and business observability. In this role, you will work with our product developers, cross-functional engineering teams, and domain experts to define solutions that leverage statistical & deep learning technologies, build and execute on strategic product roadmaps, and design architectures to scale these solutions across our global customer base. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Help architect microservices and applications that leverage data & ML/AI to build and deliver differentiated full stack observability and analytics solutions 
• Lead technical efforts through all phases of the software development process — from early design phases through to customers and support 
• Collaborate cross-functionally and cross-product to make major improvements to our platform and services 
• Help shape our engineering practices through a broad approach to engineering quality (consistent and thoughtful patterns, improved observability, unit and integration testing, etc.) 
• Develop for developers through APIs and services that allow for extensibility 
• Participate in innovation time to build features for our customers and tools for our engineering teams 

Skills/Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree with 6 months to 1 year of industry experience
• Experience in a least one area of Machine Learning (NLP, Regression, Classification, Clustering, or Anomaly Detection)
• Experience with fairness in machine learning and artificial intelligence to detect and remove bias in ML/AI systems
• Knowledge of architecting and building cloud native services/applications at scale, based on microservices and event-driven architectures, with both relational, NoSQL & distributed databases 
• Understanding of architecting applications that are reliable, scalable and secure 
• Proficient in Python
• Own and validate KPIs to measure model quality and impact at scale
• Knowledge of applying statistical models for large-scale application and building automated analytical systems experience

Nice to have:

• Have at least one full product lifecycle experience (concept to ship) of an AI based service/application 
• Awareness of building high scale and high-performance distributed systems 
• Knowledge of working with Stream processing systems like AWS Kinesis and AI platforms like Amazon SageMaker
• Working knowledge of platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, VMWare and/or Kubernetes 

Minimum Salary: $90,000.00

Maximum Salary:$138,000.00

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $90,000.00 and $138,000.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
